About Cardiac Centre
What we do
The Cardiac Centre, an annex of the SSRN Hospital Pamplemousses, became operational in June 1998 with the objectives of primarily providing cardiac surgery and interventional cardiology coupled with specialized care to cardiac patients and secondarily promoting neuro-surgery and specialized care to neuro patients. The Cardiac Centre is the only referral tertiary center for cardiac surgery, Angiography and Angioplasty in the public sector.

Provide consistently high level of care to all patients at the centre
Coronary Angiography
Test carried out under local anesthesia to evaluate the presence and location of coronary artery disease
Vascular Surgery
Medical therapy, minimally-invasive catheter procedures, and surgical reconstruction
Coronary Angioplasty (dilatation) and stent implantation
Device used within the occluded artery with a view to reinforce the arterial walls
Closed and Open Heart Surgery
Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery (CABG)
Facilitator for other services
Facilitator for the provision of services such as Neuro Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Renal Transplantation
